About Amanda

I’m what some call an Accidental Admin.  I got started using Salesforce as a fundraiser at a nonprofit.  I needed something to help me manage grants and deadlines, and I fell in love with Salesforce and all the options for customization.  We eventually moved all of our donor information from DonorPerfect to Salesforce and managed both an annual and capital campaign that way.  Fast forward about three years and I am now the Database Manager at another nonprofit, Literacy Action, and I am working to overhaul their Salesforce org and design a system to track student information.

I’m writing this blog to document the process and I’m hopeful it will help other nonprofit admins sort through the wealth of ideas out there and figure out how things apply to nonprofits.
